DESCRIPTION

A limited-edition soap celebrating the release of Samin Nosrat’s second cookbook, Good Things: Recipes and Rituals to Share with People You Love.

This is our most deeply exfoliating body bar; use it on the bottoms of your feet, the outsides of your arms, the back of your legs, or wherever you want to feel a sensational tingle. This bar moves things around! No need for a lymphatic brush if you use this in the shower. You can also suds it onto a washcloth. Alternatively, try this bar at the sink - or wherever you wash up after coming in from the garden. The ground apricot kernels provide tough grit that loosens dirt (or grease) from hands.

The essential oil blend is floral, bright and peppery, featuring clary sage, rose geranium and black pepper.

The high percentage of olive oil in our soaps means bars should be kept out of standing water. Get a soap dish that drains completely so your soap can dry.

INGREDIENTS

A cold-process bar made with olive oil, coconut oil, castor oil, shea butter, ground rose hips, apricot kernel meal and essential oils.

SIZE

"I've never found soap I adore as much."

Why olive oil

Our soaps and body oils start with excellent quality food grade olive oil - and not just a little; each bar is made up of 40% olive oil or more. That's why our soap is so deeply moisturizing and nourishing for skin.

Natural fragrance

We scent our soaps and body oils with essential oils - made by taking the leaves or roots of a plant and steaming them to distill the essence that carries scent. You'll smell a lot of geraniums, vetiver, citrus, lavender and sages because those plants make generous amounts of oil and can be sucessfully distilled. We source the best version of each and blend for balance and depth.

Business as world-building

For 20 years we've been making soap in the family and selling it wholesale and on the internet. When we moved the soap factory to the farm in 2021, the business became a tool for funding the intergenerational communal experiment that is Worlds End School.

Worlds End farmers and community members grow wedding flowers and moonlight as soap-wrappers, while our sales allow the farm to exist outside the market economy. The staff’s labor can return to visitors and residents; we never have to put a dollar value on a lamb or a tomato.
